Prehistoric Romeo and Juliet

This photo was taken by the Archaeological Society in northern Italy, on Wednesday, Feb, 7, 2007. It shows a pair of human skeletons. Archaeologists believe the skeletons are a man and a woman, from the Neolithic period, buried between 5000 to 6000 years ago. It could be humanity's oldest story of love.

They died young, and by the looks of it, in love. The skeletons found locked in an embrace near the city where Shakespeare set the tale of "Romeo and Juliet".

If by any chance you or any of your friends can visit Tabriz Museum in Iran, you will see exactly the same thing and it has been discovered there far prior to 7-Feb-2007. Small world, isn't it?
